Warriors of Freedom Memorial Project

Vice Commander Tony Mitchell - 3/15/2018

There is an exciting project underway to build a new memorial honoring Veterans of Desert Storm, the Gulf War, the Iraq War and the Afghanistan War.  Our Post was honored to have Chairman Hector Sotomayer visit us at our March Meeting.  Chairman Sotomayer told us a bit about the project and we got to see the concept graphics.  I tell you, this project is going to be worth the wait.  Groundbreaking is tentatively set for this summer.

Please check out their webpage http://www.wofmonroe.com/ or their Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/Warriorsoffreedommemorial/ for more information.

After the presentation, Commander Charles Klauck presented Chairman Sotomayer with a donation from Ridge Webster VFW Post 9483.
