Happy Birthday to the US Coast Guard

- 8/4/2021

Since 4 August 1790, the Coast Guard has been "Always Ready" to protect and serve the United States and its citizens at sea, on interior waterways, and in the air.  As the lead service protecting our shores in times of peace, and war, you have achieved an enviable legacy of success in safeguarding the American people, promoting national security, protecting border security, and preserving economic prosperity.  For 231 years the Coast Guard has demonstrated selfless devotion to duty and unstinting courage in the face of extreme danger - whether in battle against our nation's enemies or in the face of nature's wrath.  We have the highest admiration and respect for your professional acumen and virtuous performance, and are proud to have you in defense of our great nation.  Happy 231st!
